I have never boarded a dog before. We have always been lucky to have family or friends who are able to take the dogs. Now we have three, and like children you can't leave them alone over night and then for a full day. They get bored, hungry, and really really need to pee after a while. Our two small fluffy ones, Buster and Odin will be fine. They won't chew the house apart and the neighbor girls can get used to earning money as we are going to pay them $10 each to feed, play, walk, and make sure the dogs get a chance to relieve themselves. Friend and Neighbor Mom Ginger will make sure it is a good time for all:) Juliet is the mutt that poses a problem. We are still kenneling her when we leave and it is not fair for her to be in a kennel for soooooo long. The neighbors have three very very small Chihuahuas and for their safety the dogs can't stay with the Manchas. Juliet is still chewing clothes, rugs, pillows at 8 months but is fully house trained. I have been researching Pet Hotels. There are quite a few and a majority of them are good. Some are more appropriate for certain dogs than others. Some don't let them play together which I find extremely weird. I like that I can take their own food and toys for Fido. Some have cameras and TVs for the dogs... not to take pictures but so owners or guardians (whichever you prefer) can watch their pets from the Internet! I am not that obsessive. Petsmart sounds good cause they have doggie day care but isn't cause they are one of the most expensive I have found so far. I am a little irritated as we are coming home on Thanksgiving day and no one will let me pick her up that day... i know a holiday but I am the millennial generation and everything should be at my finger tips and ultra convenient. Ugh... I hate not being able to pick her up and leaving her in a strange place a second night and since Petsmart sucks cause they also can't go outside! I think I'm gonna go with Hound House in Gilbert. If she is gonna be boarded it might as well be luxury:) Cheap luxury too!! This means for Juliet that she gets to be outside 70% of the time, play with other dogs, and sleep when she wants. Lord, I hope this goes well...
